As a world traveler, I kept discovering incredible things in the places I visited. A perfumer in Cairo blending oud using ancient Egyptian formulas. A ceramicist in Kyoto whose tea bowls carry 400 years of tradition. A leather worker in Marrakech whose family has worked the same workshop since before electricity.
These weren't just products — they were masterpieces hiding in plain sight. And I kept thinking: the world needs to know about these people and their work.
So I reached out to friends I'd made around the world — people who shared my appreciation for authentic craftsmanship — and together we built Heritage Souk: a curated marketplace where every product has a story, every artisan has a champion, and every customer gets something truly extraordinary.
